Helen M. Strzyewski, age 94, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Shady Lane. Helen was born on June 27, 1921 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Kliment Zmeskal. Helen was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1939. She was employed as an industrial nurse for 26 years with Mirro Aluminum from where she retired in 1984. On August 28, 1942 she married Leonard "Woody" Strzyewski at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 3, 1997. Helen was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. In past years Helen bowled in several of the local bowling leagues.She is survived by her daughter: Corrine Eichmann, Manitowoc; two grandsons: Kirk (April) Eichmann; Nick (Katie) Eichmann; five great grandchildren: Landon, Eva, Gabe, Calla, and Talon; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary Zmeskal; husband: Leonard "Woody" Strzyewski; son-in-law: Jerry Eichmann; and two brothers and one sister.Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum where entombment will follow. Officiating will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Relatives and friends may call at Calvary Mausoleum on Tuesday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel, Manitowoc.
