Greenleaf Man Dies In Accident
CHICAGO (PG) – Thomas C. Collins, 25, of rural Greenleaf, was killed early Tuesday when his truck was involved in an accident with a car on the Dan Ryan Expressway.
Collins, driving a truck for Packerland Packing Co., was thrown through the windshield of the truck and into the wreckage of a car driven by Mrs. Coetta Jones, 50, of Chicago.
Mrs. Jones was taken to Billings Hospital where she was listed in fair condition. Her daughter and four children, all passengers in the Jones car, were treated for minor injuries and released from another hospital.
Collins' survivors include his wife, Diane; two daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, both at home; his parents, of Denmark; four brothers; and his father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Leiterman, Green Bay.

Man Killed in Accident
CHICAGO (AP) – Thomas Collins, 25, a truck driver from Green Bay, Wis., was killed Tuesday in an accident on the Dan Ryan Expressway here, police reported.
They said Collins was driving a semi-tractor trailer which was involved in a collision with a car. The truck overturned and he was pinned underneath, they reported.
Collins was dead on arrival at a hospital after being freed from the wreckage. Traffic was disrupted for about two hours while officials cleared the road.
