Joe C. Brown, 72, a retired county commissioner for Hood County, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Lipan. Burial: Allison Cemetery in Hood County. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Chapel in Lipan. Memorials: Lipan Volunteer Fire & Ambulance Service; or to Lipan Fair Fund.
Joe Brown was born September 26, 1926, in Lipan, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Mae Brown of Lipan; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnna and Mike Stowe of Lipan; sister, Mary Ada Bybee of Lipan; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
