Funeral services for Mary Ada Bybee, 88, of Lipan were held Monday, Nov. 21, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Lipan. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.T

he homemaker was born June 21, 1917 in Hico to Joe and Myrtle Brown. She and Jack Gregory wed April 18, 1938 in Weatherford. He preceded her in death in 1963 and she married Nelson Bybee Aug. 9, 1963 in Miami, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1992.

She was a member of Allison Baptist Church in Lipan and Eastern Star. She was employed by Wiley and Martin's funeral homes for many years.

Her parents, a son, Jackie Troy Gregory and three brothers, also preceded her in death.

Survivors are a son, James Gregory and wife, Sandy of Belton, Missouri; daughter, Carol J. Gregory Harris of Lipan; daughter-in-law, Sherry Gregory of Granbury; sisters-in-law, Audie Mae Brown of Crowley, Freddie Mae Smithers of Lipan; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and nine great- great-grandchildren.Funeral arrangements by Wiley Chapel of Lipan.
