Mrs. Elizabeth Pfefferkorn, 84, widow of August Pfefferkorn and a county resident until seven years ago, died Friday at the home of her step-daughter, Mrs. Anna Thiel in Milwaukee.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Melnik Presbyterian church, the Rev. Robert Boettcher officiating. The body will lie in state at the church after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Born Anna Specht in 1861 in this county on a farm near Melnik, she was married to August Pfefferkorn and the couple made their home on the Gibson farm. The husband died in 1907 (sic) and the widow continued to live on the farm until seven years ago when she went to Milwaukee to make her home.

Surviving are five sons, John of Two Rivers, Edwin of Shoto, William of Manitowoc, Gustave at Hartford and Richard on the home farm; and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Thiel and Miss Selma Pfefferkorn, Milwaukee, Mrs. Helen Krueger of Newton, Mrs. Ida Luebke of Maribel, and a brother, Frank Specht, of Kossuth.
