Sheffield, IL - Jacob W. "Hap" Hull, 78, of Sheffield died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.

Born May 16, 1921, in Broadmoor to Floyd Herbert and Abbie Jane Anthony Hull, he married Ruth Burcham on Oct. 8, 1958, in Galva. She survives.

Also surviving are five daughters, Roma Hall of East Moline, Kathy (and Howard) Mercer of Neponset, Linda (and Gary) Reed of Sheffield, Christy Eckerman of Kemp, Texas, and Norma Headley of Peoria, Ariz.; three sons, Donald (and Lorelle) Burcham of Sheffield, Carl (and Nancy) Burcham of Brookings, Ore., and John (and Delphia) Burcham of Prophetstown; and four sisters, Grace (and Clifford) Renner of Peoria, Maribeth "Betty" Jones of Princeton, Margaret "Peggy" Schutz of Sheffield and Patricia (and Gene) Wheelock of Port Byron.

Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a rural mail carrier for 43 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1987.

Burial will be in Sheffield Cemetery.
