Suggested edit: Mrs. Arthur Mayr, 79, a Town of Meeme (Manitowoc County) resident, died Wednesday night at the Villa Loretta Nursing Home, Mount Calvary, where she resided the past five years.
The former Theresa Kutz, she was born May 13, 1896, in Meeme, a daughter of Frank and Theresa Schnettler Kutz.
She attended St. Fidelis Catholic School in Meeme.
On Oct. 3, 1916 she married Arthur Mayr at St. Fidelis Catholic Church.
The couple resided in Meeme and observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1966.
Mrs. Mayr was organist at St. Fidelis Church for many years and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, its Christian Mothers Society and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.
Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Miss Frieda Mayr of Milwaukee,Mrs. Walter (Cecelia) Muehlbauer of Concord, Calif., and Mrs. Jerome (Ann)Kraus of rural Elkhart Lake, three sons Frank of Milwaukee, the Rev. AdalbertMayr of Bogota, Columbia, and Roger, School Hill, 21 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Joey Bodamer of Milwaukee, and two brothers, Julius and Ludwig Kutz , both of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday with a 12 noon Mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill, the Rev. Reginald Schrimpf, pastor celebrant, following brief family rites at 11:15 a.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday where a wake service will be held at 8 p.m.
