JESS McCANTS DIES; SERVICES HERE MONDAY

Jess McCants, 94 of 416 South Market, Caldwell, KS died Friday, Oct 3, in District Hospital, Caldwell, KS, after an extended illness.

Services for Mr. McCants will be conducted Monday, Oct 6, at 2 p.m. in the Schaeffer Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Mix Lyda will Officiate. Songs by Merrill Womach will include "In The Garden' and "Beyond the Sunset".

Interment will be in the Caldwell City Cemetery. Bearers will be Ralph Fortmeyer, Eldon Oathout, J. E. Oathout, Leon Fortmeyer, Harry Frieouf, John Wedman, Earl Ehelman, Dean Vincent.

Honorary bearers will be Wilbur Williamson, Clifford Clark, Ora Merritt, Albert Enderud,

Mr. McCants, was born Aug 25, 1886, in Pleasant Gap, MO, the son of Thomas McCants and Mary Jane Kerns McCants. He Married Anna V. Wilson, on Sep 22, 1939, in Catrhage, MO.

Mr. McCants, was a member of the North Star Community Church, and he attended the Caldwell Assembly of God Church.

Mr. McCants was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ray.

He is survived by his wife, Anna of the home; two daughters, Leanna McKelvey of Moline, Oregon, Harvena Dodd, of Miami Springs, Fla., and a foster daughter, Vivian Mackey of Topeka, KS.
