Mrs. Augusta Eggert, 82, of Rt. 1, Denmark, died late Saturday night at the Two Rivers Municipal Hospital where she had been a patient the past seven weeks.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Town of Gibson, the Rev. Gerhardt Geiger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Eggert, nee Augusta Goertz, was born June 24, 1885, in West Prussia, a daughter of the late Jacob and Bertha Ungaer Goertz.

When she was a small child, her family came to the United States and settled on a farm in the Town of Gibson. She attended the Jambo Creek School. She was married to Rudolph Eggert on May 24, 1905, at Gibson. He preceded her in death on October of 1966.

Survivors include two sons, Paul of Rt. 1, Denmark, and Erwin of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, and one grandchild. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the Deja and Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 4 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be taken to the church where the body will lie in state until time of services. Memorial services will be at the funeral home chapel at 9 p.m. Tuesday.
