Gravesid e services for Herschel Womack of Camp Wood were held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Barksdale Cemetery. Buck Hale of the Nueces Canyon Church of Christ officiated.
Womack, 71, died May 27, 1986, at his residence in Camp Wood. He was born Jan. 7, 1915, in Diboll, TX.
Retired from the railroad, Womack was a member of the Episcopal Church and Elks Lodge No. 1926 in Kingsville. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a Warrant officer.
Survivors are his widow, Kathleen Lacey Womack, Camp Wood; son, Henry Leo Womack, Humble; Daughter, Paula J. Sisco, Nacgodoches; a grandson, granddaughter, and a nephew.
Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Home, Camp Wood.
