James Bloomer, 69, died Saturday at his home at Elm Grove where he had lived for the past 40 years.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Elm Grove church. Burial was in the Roller cemetery under direction of the Chaffin funeral home.

Mr. Bloomer was born December 19, 1881. He married Martha Watts December 27, 1903. To them one daughter, Lois, was born.

He is survived by his wife, Martha; his daughter, Mrs. Theodore Foster of Ash Grove; one granddaughter, Vera Lee; one brother, Oren Bloomer of Sparta; four sisters, Mrs. Rosa Green and Mrs. Eva Estes of Ozark, and Mrs. Annie Mooney and Mrs. Katie Smith of Rogersville.

He had been a member of the Elm Grove Methodist Church since the age of 20.
