Shirley was a Nevada Resident for over 55 yrs., residing in Apple Valley, Ca. the past 9 yrs. She is survived by 2 daughters & a son, 2 sisters, a sister in law, 7 grand children, 6 grt. grand children & nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband - William, a sister, a brother - Clayton & grandson Jason Ashworth.
An active member of the church of LDs she served a mission in the Las Vegas Temple along with her husband for several years in various callings including Relief Society President & her favorite Primary Teacher. Shirley was employed with Western Air Lines prior to marriage & later became interested in ceramics -
she was co-owner of the Green Fox Ceramic Studio & also was involved with Nevada Ceramic's Association where she held numerous positions including President. She pursued China painting as well as artistic interests until shortly before her death. While raising her children she was active with the P.T.A. often serving as president of that organization. She was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt & friend.
