Born to John Joseph and Lucille Lee Kelly, Married Darvel A. Sampsom on January 21,1929 in Beaver, Utah and had six children, moving to Las Vegas, Neveda in 1932. Gwen was widowed after fourty years of marriage. God brought Gwen another Love, Howard Holmes; who also preceded her in death. Howard and Gwen were married May 24, 1980 at the LDS Temple in St. George; where she served as an ordinane worker in the Temple, and in various other callings. The two relocated in 1998 to Las Vegas, Nevada to be close to family while health was failing.
Gwen was preceded in death also by two sons, William and Clayton, one daughter - Bonita Bell, five grandchildren, a brother, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 11am Thursday at the Desert Sage Ward, 4201 E. Stewart Avenue; Las Vegas, Nevada - with visitation 9:30-10:30am. at the Chapel.
Internment: Palm Northwest; under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
Gwen will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, kind, and Godly woman by her family and friends.
