For Mrs. Browning

Last rites for Mrs. Eliza Browning 87-year-old Berlin, Ga., resident, will be held Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. The Rev. Harvey Giddens, pastor of Jerusalem Baptist Church will officiate at the services, with burial following in the Sardis cemetery.

A native of Madison County, Florida, Mrs. Browning died Tuesday at 10 p.m. at her home after an illness of two weeks. She was born Feb 7, 1866. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reesie Marlow of Madison County, the deceased was a member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Epps, Russell, Noah and G.J., all of Berlin, Orval, Pavo, and Luke, Apaga, Fla.; six daughters, Mrs. Charlie Mercer and Mrs. Lancy Hiers, both of Moultrie, Mrs. C.C. Hollingsworth and Mrs. Henry Cavender, both of Berlin, Mrs. Mary Jane Burgess, Barney, and Mrs. Laura Hiers, Morven; two step-children, Mrs. Bill Edwards and Ed Browning, both of Adel; one sister, Mrs. Ellen McCorvery, Lakeland, Fla.; 51 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
