Paul Haas, 72, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, in Green Bay with his family by his side. Born on March 3, 1934, to the late Adolph and Seraphine Haas of Menasha, Paul was the second youngest of ten children.

He graduated from St. Mary's of Menasha in the class of 1952, then achieved a bachelor's degree in Math with a minor in English at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Paul was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family, a kind and patient man who was quick to smile and tell a joke. He was a voracious reader, avid gardener and loved the outdoors and doing these things whenever he could. Paul loved listening to classical music and passed his love of music onto his children.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary his four children: James (Lynn), Laura, Jeannine (fiancee Erik) and Joseph two sisters, Bernadette and Loretta, a brother, Richard and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Seraphine and Adolph siblings: Joseph, Bruno, Elmer, Herbert, Roland and Irma.

Family and friends may call Friday, August 18, 2006, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, where there will be a Parish Prayer Service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at church, with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Online condolences may be expressed at www. cotterfuneralhome.com.
