Ralph McDaniels, 60 of Commerce, GA, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at his home following an extended illness. He was a native of Palatka and graduate of Palatka High School. He had been a long time resident of the North Georgia area, having moved there from Okeechobee. Ralph worked as a mechanic with Gainesville Trucking Center. As his hobby, Ralph enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Emily McDaniels, his mother, Carrie Driggers of Interlachen, 2 sons, Clifford McDaniels of Commerce, GA and Joe Hazellief of South Carolina, 3 daughters, Cindy Bentley and Kathy Johnson both of Commerce, GA and Kristy Maxwell of Wauchula, FL, 3 sisters, Beverly Brantley of St. Augustine, Irene Wilkinson of Palatka and Ilene Langston of Interlachen, a brother, Danny Driggers of Interlachen, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen with Reverend Paul Tyson and Reverend Dale Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery in Mannville. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
