Audrey was one of eight children, born on December 29, 1923 to Willard and Jeretta (Wallace) Wilson in Ashland, Wisconsin.
She married John Christofferson on June 6, 1942 in Ashland, and together they raised six children and resided in Eau Claire.
She worked at Luther Hospital as a cook for 15 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed doing puzzles, baking, cooking, and playing card games.
Audrey is survived by her six children, Sharon (Jim) Nietz of Baraboo, WI, John Jr. (Kay) Christofferson of Rice Lake, WI, Michael Christofferson of Eau Claire, WI, Alan (Judy) Christofferson of Eau Claire, WI, Kristie (Howard) Kinderman of Gulfport, MS, and Jeri (Randy) Seidling of Moose Lake, MN; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; siblings, Sam Wilson of Wisconsin, Ethel Kupczyk of Ashland, WI, Joyce Danz of Turtle Lake, WI, and Jackie Baatz of Wisconsin; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, John Christofferson; daughter-in-law Beverly Christofferson; granddaughter, Angela Davies; brother, Ken Wilson; sister, Alice Bayliss; her infant sister; and her beloved dog, Charlie.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank the staff at Syverson Lutheran Home for their loving and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Barb Koch officiating. Private burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery.
