Newel F. Josephson, 72, passed away on April 4, 1997 at Cottonwood Hospital.

Born January 21, 1925 in Salt Lake City to Newel F. Josephson, Sr., and Marba Cannon Josephson.

Married Margaret Ricks on March 25, 1972.

Member of the LDS Church. Served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was an outdoorsman and a photographer. He loved his grandchildren.

Survived by wife, Marge; children, Mark (Ty) Josephson, Layton; and David (Pat) Ricks and Carole Houtz, both of Salt Lake City; fourteen grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Allison, Danni, Tiffany, Trisha, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Joseph, Bradley, Daniel, Timothy, Raymond, and Andrew; five great-grandchildren, and brothers, Dale, John, and Blaine Josephson, all of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. in the Butler Eighth Ward Chapel, 2695 East Fort Union Boulevard (7000 South. Friends may call at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7600 South), on Sunday, April 6, 1997 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on the day of the services at the church from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Interment: Mountain View Memorial Estates.
