He attended schools in the Salt Lake area, graduating from the University of Utah in 1960. He was a Veteran of the Korean War and retired from Denver & Rio Grande Western railroad after 37 years of service.
He married Rosalie Ruth Reid March 14, 1955 and they had three children: Bruce (Mary Ann), Russell (Diana) and Jolyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rosalie; also brothers Newel, Jr., Dale, sister Janet Caldwell.
He is survived by his children, and grandchildren, Steven and Julie, and brother John.
Burial services will be held Saturday, June 30, 2001 at 11 a.m. Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 E. 7800 So., where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
