Born Oct. 5, 1920, in Van Buren County, she was the daughter of Ray and Linnet B. Slutz Barnett. On May 31, 1937, she married Leo W. Sanderson. He died May 2, 1978.
Mrs. Sanderson was a homemaker. She was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church.
She enjoyed cooking and time with her family.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Haynes of Hillsboro; one son, Darrell Sanderson of Douds; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Louise Faught of Douds, Charlotte Waldridge of Danville and Beulah Schilling and Margaret Workman, both of Fairfield.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, two sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services for Mrs. Sanderson will be 11 a.m. Friday in Hillsboro Cemetery, where family will meet friends afterwards.
A memorial has been established.
