Albert Scruggs was born about 1868 in Tennessee, the son of George Scruggs and Pricilla (Potter) Scruggs.
According to the 1910 census both Albert and his wife Carrie ( -- ) Scruggs (1869-1939) had been previously married when they were married about 1899. They had no known children.
A hotel waiter living at 908 Pearl Street, Nashville, he was 71 years old and married when he died at home of cirrhosis of the liver on July 7, 1939. Burial was five days later in Mount Ararat Cemetery, Nashville.
