ALTIE WILLENE TAYLOR, age 91, of Sweetwater, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ennis W. Taylor Sr.,(Married Dec. 24, 1945 in Maury County, TN.) her youngest son, David Taylor, and all seven of her siblings.

Survivors include her son, Ennis W. Taylor Jr., a granddaughter, Julie Farmer; two step-grandsons, John Sprouse and Chad Sprouse; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Seth, and Kelsey, and many nieces and nephews.

A native Tennessean, Mrs. Taylor was born in Smith County, lived most of her life in Davidson County and moved to Sweetwater in 2006 to live with her son. She was a retiree from Metropolitan Nashville Parks and Recreation. Prior to moving to Sweetwater, she was a member of Gallatin Road Baptist Church in Nashville. Following her move, she attended and joined Reed Springs Baptist Church, the members of which brought her much happiness.

The body is at Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, where the family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2016. Graveside services will be conducted at a later date with interment at Spring Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Reed Springs Baptist Church, 121 Reed Springs Road, Philadelphia, TN 37846, are requested. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, in charge of arrangements.
