Mrs Lucy E. Wilkins, 68, of Oneonta, died Friday, June 9, 1989.

She was born March 28, 1921, in Oneonta, daughter of Atwell and Lucy (Blanchard) Black. She married Harold E. (Pinky) Wilkins in Oneonta, on Aug. 17, 1940. He died in a plane accident on Sept 26, 1965.

She was an Oneonta area resident all of her life, having attended Oneonta High School, and spent most of her life in Oneonta's West End. At the time her late husband owned and operated West End Body Shop, she was active in the business.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John (Linda W.) Elmore, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; and Mrs. James (Marilou) Gallusser, of Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Miss Helene Black of Oneonta, and Mrs. Michael (Georgiabelle) Kosempa, of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Maurice Black of Shady Lakes, Fla.; two grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 12, 1989, in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, Chaplain of The A. O. Fox Memorial Hospital officiating. Burial will take place at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 1989. Families will be present at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m.
