Abram Allen Hunt, a son of Squire Hunt and Sidney Ann Cooper. He first married abt. 1840 to Sarah Malinda Johnson who died without children. He married 2nd to Mary Jane Johnson on 23 Jan 1852 in Giles Co., TN and she was the mother of his children. After Mary's death in 1862 Abram married a third time 2 Jun 1867 to Sarah Jane Watson, dau of Joseph & Anna (Anderson) Watson.
Abram Allen Hunt bought & sold several parcels of land in Lawrence and Giles Co.,TN before moving to Webster Co., MO abt 1855. He was a boot and shoemaker.
During the Civil War he served as a private in Companies E and I of the 74th Regiment Enrolled Missouri Militia. He volunteered 15 Aug 1862 in Marshfield, MO and was discharged 10 Nov 1862. His widow, Sarah Jane Hunt filed for a pension based on that service on 3 Nov 1919.
