Wanda Ruth Richardson Wilson, age 82, of Harrison, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord, January 27, 2016, at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living Center in Flippin, Arkansas.

She was born February 9, 1933, in the Sugar Orchard community near Pyatt in Marion County, Arkansas, the daughter of William Bryan and Birdie Patton Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, W. H., Doyle and Gerald Richardson; four sisters, Thelma Adams, Mava Wagner, Coyita Cantrell and Leota Treat; and a son-in-law, Mark Ramsey.

Wanda was a member of First Baptist Church of Harrison since 1966 where she taught in the children's and youth Sunday school departments and served on various committees. She was a member of the Greta Pinkston Sunday school class.

Wanda married Bobby Joe Wilson December 25, 1952 at Ralph in Marion County Arkansas. She was employed at J. C. Penney's, Harrison House Clothing Store, and Clark and Eoff Furniture Store, all in Harrison. She volunteered as a girl scout leader and Main Street Harrison. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Boone County Historical Society, Friends of the Library, the Gold Club and the Twentieth Century Club. She served on the board of directors of the Medical Clinic Mission as well as historian for the clinic, which was a cause she passionately believed in. She enjoyed time spent with her family, doing all kinds of needlework, and genealogical research on her family. She compiled six books on her family and three books on Marion County schools.

Wanda is survived by her husband of 63 years, Bob Wilson; two daughters, Nancy Williams and husband Randy of Harrison, and grandson, Brian Ramsey of Monticello, Arkansas and Julie Patrick and husband Paul and grandson, Andrew Patrick, all of Harrison; two step-granddaughters, Keri Fultz and Jessica Moyer; and 6 step-great-granddaughters of Fayetteville and Bella Vista, Arkansas.

She is also survived by a sister, Johnnie Fortner, of Yellville, Arkansas; her sisters-in-law, Mozelle Richardson and Chloe Richardson; and brother-in-law, Roger Treat; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Visitation is 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, January 31, 2016, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 1, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Harrison, with Reverends Robert Shaddox and Rob Davis officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brian Ramsey, Andrew Patrick, Jack Fortner,

Honorary pallbearers include Paul Patrick, Randy Williams, Dr. Tom Leslie, Dr. Kevin Jackson, the Greta Pinkston Sunday School Class and the staff at Twin Lakes Therapy and Living Center.

Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison under the direction of Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
