Marilyn E. Klabunde, age 85, of 2714 33rd St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 25, 2016, at her home. Marilyn was born on September 10, 1930, in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late Stephen and Theresa (Behnke) Maruga. She attended St. John's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1948. On June 10, 1950, she married Arthur F. "Rocky" Klabunde at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2003. Marilyn was employed at Mirro Aluminum, The Belle Shoppe and Paragon Electric Co. Marilyn was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, where she was active with the Ladies Society and attended Bible Study and also volunteered at Hamilton Home. She was a Packers fan, enjoyed going to their games, and liked playing cribbage and sheepshead with family and friends.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Brad and Janice Klabunde, Two Rivers; her daughter and son-in-law: Wendy and Thomas Ackerman, Everson, Wash.; two grandchildren: Seth (Kristy) Ackerman and Erin (Frank III) Morimanno; four great grandchildren: Chase and Grant Ackerman and Frank IV and Bethany Morimanno; two step grandchildren: Shawn Stelzer and his daughter, Leela and Chad Stelzer and her best friend: Josie. She is further survived by a brother: Loren Maruga, Two Rivers; three sisters: Helen Bialkowski, Two Rivers, Sonja (Richard) Witczak, Manitowoc, and Sharon (Don) Waterstreet, Macomb, Ill.; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Earl and Elaine Klabunde and Ralph and Franny Klabunde; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters: Ethawyn Maruga and Irene Morency; a brother: Laverne Maruga; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Arthur and Adeline Klabunde; a sister-in-law: Grace Maruga and two brothers-in-law: Edward Bialkowski and Edward Morency.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2140 34th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Luke Tembreull with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
