Josephine Dolly A. (Weir) Anderson, age 87, wife of the late Albert Ubba E. Anderson passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at West Acres Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Brockton after a period of failing health. Born Saturday, December 15, 1928, in Easton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur R.F. and Gertrude L. (Hanson) Weir. Shortly after she graduated from Oliver Ames High School she married her husband Albert and moved to Brockton where she lived until her passing. Dolly worked outside the home as a babysitter both privately and at Club Fit in West Bridgewater. She enjoyed reading and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton, where she also belonged to the Martha Guild. She was a member of the Valkarians at the Vega Club in Brockton and used to bowl there. Josephine is survived by her 2 sons, Jared Anderson and his wife Deborah of Brockton, Jason Anderson and his wife Phyllis of Pembroke, NH; seven grandchildren, Scott Anderson, Patricia Anderson, David Anderson, Brian Anderson, Amy Anderson, Erik Anderson, and Nicole Anderson; three brothers, Carl Weir of NH, Richard Weir of Norton, and Arthur Weir of Taunton; one sister, Beatrice Beauvais of NJ; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son Scott Anderson, her brother, Charles Weir, sister, Emily DaSilva, and sister, Naomi DeMaine. A funeral service in honor of Josephine will be held Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at 10 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 900 Main Street, Brockton. Visitation will be held Monday, January 25, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at South Easton Cemetery in Easton.
