Funeral home is Meredith-Blue and burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery with military rites. He owned and operated Boaz Enterprises in Clearwater FL and had served for 20 years in the Army.
He was born October 24, 1931 in Marion to Aaron and Mamie Buckner Boaz. He married Dorothy Hoffman on September 13, 1958 in Rockaway NJ and she survives. Other survivors include daughter Debbie Courtney of New Jersey, son Calvin Wayne Boaz of Florida, 3 grandchildren, 5 brothers Vail of St. Petersburg, Aaron of Benton, Melton, Melvin and William P. Boaz all of Marion and 4 sisters, Virginia Ropp of Marion, Ida Mae Pritchett of Joliet, Edith Reiley of Marshall MO and Patsy Sue Owens of Marshall IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters.
