Joan Adams Of Boston died in hospice in Tewksbury, MA on Thursday, January 27, 2016.
Beloved daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. John Adams Jr.,
she is survived by her sister Patricia of Andover;
A graduate of Girls' Latin School, she received her bachelor's degree from Wheelock College and a master's of fine arts from Boston University. Joan was skilled in both watercolor and oil painting.
Joan worked for 25 years at the Harvard Medical Countway Library. She was a lifelong resident of Mission Hill and was instrumental in the establishment of the Wigglesworth/Worthington Street Historical area.
