Alphonso Jackson-Bey, 55, of Kansas City, KS formerly of Bonner Springs, KS passed away at his home on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at his home after a brief illness. Visitation from 10 to 11 am, and Memorial Service at 11 am, both Sat., July 14, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. Alphonso was born on September 1, 1962 in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of the Moorish Science Temple of America, Inc. and had attended the Basehor High School in Basehor, KS [Class of 1981]. He was an avid hard worker and all around handyman. He enjoyed collecting tools, and unique children's toys.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather David Kearney, Sr. and foster Parents Quincy and Effie Quick-Bey. Alphonso is survived by his mother Frankie E. Jackson of Kansas City, MO; his father Henry Kearney of Edwardsville, KS; brother Tyrese Barnett- Bey and his wife Cheryl of St. Joseph, MO and brother Ralph Jackson of Kansas City, MO. One aunt Audrey Thompson, four uncles Calvin Jackson and his wife Diane of Kansas City, KS; Edward Jackson and his wife Donna of Denver, CO; David Kearney and Walter Kearney both of Kansas City, KS. He is also survived by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends that will miss him greatly.
