Entered religious life with the Dominican Sisters of Akron in 1936 and made her First Profession on June 26, 1938 at age 18. Her name in religion was Sister Patrice. She left the sisters in June 1944. She married Edward "Ted" Hynes on July 1, 1944 and enlisted in the Women's Army Corps on December 12, 1944 at Ft. Hayes, Columbus, OH. She raised four children with Ted in Maywood, NJ. Following the death of her husband, she married Gioachino "Jack" DiMaggio on May 25, 1997 at St. Paul church in Ramsey, NJ.
