BEND -- Violette D. Nomer,91,formerly of Scotts Mills,died Tuesday.
She was born in Narka,Kansas,and married Asa Nomer On Oct. 12,1925,in Madrid,Nebraska. She moved to Portland in 1941 and to Scotts Mills in 1943.She was postmistress there until retiring in 1968.
Her husband died in 1953,while holding the position of Mayor of Scotts Mills.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors include three daughters,a son,one sister and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Maplewood Cemetery, in Scotts Mills.
