Dolly was born, raised, and educated in New York City. She graduated from Washington Irving High School in Manhattan in 1934 when she was 16 years old. The family moved to New Jersey when Dolly was 17 or 18 and she began working for B-D the medical surgical supplies manufacturer. Dolly met Placido “Buddy” Alosi at a funeral for her grandfather. Buddy was there with his father who had apprenticed in carpentry under Dolly’s grandfather. The relationship that started that day turned into marriage on May 20, 1951. Dolly and Buddy loved to go to racetracks to see harness racing by horses owned by their extended family. They joined St. Catherine of Siena parish in 1954 and remained devoted to their church for the rest of their lives. In later years they enjoyed seniors events with friends from church; especially trips to the casinos. Dolly enjoyed sewing, was an avid reader, and was a die-hard Phillies fan who kept up with all of the games during the season. Most importantly she was devoted to her husband and family.
Relatives and friends were invited to her viewing on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 9:30 A.M. and Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 321 Witmer Road, Horsham, PA 19044. Her graveside service followed at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Road, Chalfont, PA 18914.
Religious services were conducted by Rev. Joseph F. Rymdeika from St. Catherine of Siena Church.
