Ruth O'Connell, age 88 of 407 Arbutus Avenue, Oconto, Wisconsin died February 27, 1993 at Pine View Health Center of Peshtigo, Wisconsin. The former Ruth Aubry was born September 19, 1904 at Oconto to the late Abraham and Agnes Aubry.
She married George O'Connell on June 1, 1929; he preceded her in death on December 3, 1958. Ruth lived in Milaukee from 1944 until 1970 when she returned to Oconto. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic church and the Christian Mothers.
Survivors include a son Brigadier General USA (Ret. M.G.) Mike {sic} Marvin O'Connell and his wife Jackie of Alexandria, VA and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral home of Oconto, where a prayer service was held. Mass of Christian burial was conducted Tuesday at St Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. C. Terry LaCombe officiated. Burial in Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
