Mrs. Margaret Elaine Clark, age 88, of Wallace, NC, died on February 16, 2016 in Wilmington, Delaware. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Padgett Funeral Home Chapel in Wallace, NC conducted by Dr. Alan Thompson. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Cemetery in Watha, NC. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, February 25 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Kay Warming (Eric) of Hockessin, DE, her son, Steve Anthony Batchelor (Ursula) of Austria and two grandchildren, Elaine Nicole Lietzman (Alex) of St. Petersburg, FL and Ryan Guy Warming (Andrea) of Media, PA.

She was born on October 1, 1927 in Onslow County, NC to the late Steve Clark and Laura Savage Brock. She is also predeceased by her husbands, Ward Batchelor and O. Q. Lanier, a sister and a brother.

Margaret spent most of her life farming with her husband Ward. She lived in Wilmington, NC for several years where she attended Miller-Motte Business College, subsequently, going to work for a local business. A member of Wallace First Baptist Church, she was a woman of faith and a nurturer. She loved flowers and cultivated them in both her yard and home.
