Mr. Raeford Thomas Brock, age 70, of Chinquapin, died Thursday, October 12, 2006.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 15, 2006, from Padgett Funeral Chapel, conducted by Rev. Pat Trobaugh. Burial will follow in Cavenaugh Cemetery.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Clark of Wallace and Mrs. Martha Albertson of Chinquapin; four nieces, Gloria Simpson and husband Ricky of Wilmington, Sandra Futrell and husband Ranny of Hampstead, Tina Davis and husband Jay of Hampstead and Linda Warming and husband Eric of Delaware; one nephew, Steve Batchelor of Austria; nine great-nieces and nephews; and five great-great-nieces and nephews.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Brock was the son of the late David Thomas and Laura Savage Brock and a member of Sharon Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a great-nephew, John Christian Simpson.
Casketbearers will be David Simpson, Jeremy Davis, Norwood Futrell, Brent Futrell, David Anderson, Robin Albertson, Dennis Albertson and Jay Davis.
