Obituary: Armando Cuenca Curiel; 3rd man hurt in South Salt Lake shooting dies
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say a South Salt Lake shooting has now claimed three lives, including two brothers.
South Salt Lake police spokesman Gary Keller says a 20-year-old man died at a hospital late Saturday, just one day after his 19-year-old brother succumbed to his injuries.
According to police, the brothers and two other young men were sitting in an SUV in the middle of a street Thursday night when someone opened fire.
Police say a 17-year-old, who has been identified as Armando Cuenca Curiel, died at the scene.
The brothers were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The fourth victim is being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police have not identified a suspect.
Keller says police are not identifying the brothers per a request from their family.
