Odene Cooper Graham, age 86, of Springfield, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 3pm at the Main Street Church of Christ with Brother Joe Rushing and Brother Barry Throneberry officiating.
Visitation was held at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 2-8pm.
A private burial was held in the Springfield Memorial Gardens on Saturday, February 20, 2016 with David Davis, Joshua Mays, Andrew Mays, Kyle McVey, Rob Whitacre, Lynch Owen and Jon Paul Duncan serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Graham was born December 26, 1929 in Bradshaw, TX to the late Odus Cooper and Mary Cooper Starr. She was a homemaker and member of the Main Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Graham is preceded in death by her daughter, Melva Gayle Davis-Mays, her sister, Shirley Brumfield and her step-father, Claude Starr. Mrs. Graham is survived by her husband, Bill Graham; daughters, Nicki Anne (Harold Gene) Wilson of Cottontown and Brenda Sue (Dan) McVey of Springfield; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Church of Christ Disaster Relief Effort or to World Christian Broadcasting. Both may be sent in c/o Austin & Bell.
