Alessandro Cavicchia passed away on May 24, 1963 after a short illness. He was survived by his wife Bettina Terrenzio Cavicchia and daughter, Julia Cavicchia Principi, her husband Samuel F. Principi, grandaughters Beth & Jeneane Principi and grandson Mark Principi. He was preceeded in death by his 3 year old son, Eli.
Alessandro grew up in eastern Italy in Chieti. He served in the military during WWII. Alessandro traveled as a young man to New York, Staten Island in the early 1900's. He worked as a coal miner in Clinton, Indiana for a time before moving to Schenectady, New York and working for General Electric. He married Bettina Terrenzio who had also immigrated from Italy. Both he and his wife became US citizens.
When he retired from GE he and his wife moved to Merritt Island, FL.
