He passed away at the age of 88, and had been a resident of Rochester Hills. Cherished husband of Virginia "Ginny" (née Walter) de Steiger. Loving father of Peter (Chris), David (Judy), Lisa (John) Perry, and Michelle (Roy) Edmonds. Dear grandfather of 14, and of 7 great grandchildren. He was a graduate of East Detroit High School. Also from MSU, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He owned and was the chairman of Ray Electric and Ray Lighting Centers.
