Clarence L. Fortner, age 79 of Rose Valley, PA, passed away Monday, February 29, 2016. Clarence was born on June 18, 1936 to the late Mary T. and George G. Fortner in Hickman County, KY. Clarence was a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and was a commissioned officer in the US Public Health Service for 30 years, serving as the Chief of the Drug Management Section of the National Cancer Institute and Director of Pharmacy at the Baltimore Cancer Research Center. Following his retirement from the Public Health Service, he was an executive with Pfizer.

He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Nesha Alford Fortner; a daughter, Susan Fortner; and 2 siblings.

Wife: Dr. Rebecca Finley of Rose Valley, PA
Son: George Wayne Fortner of Bel Air, MD
Daughter: Kathryn Klass of Holly Springs, NC
Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, 1 niece and 4 nephews.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016, 1:00 PM, at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery with Rev. Stan Waldon officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday, after 12:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
