Emma Braun, 97, Bismarck, passed away March 4, 2016 at St. Gabriel’s Community Nursing Home.
Emma was born February 16, 1919, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Wert) Duppong. She was raised and educated in Glen Ullin, ND. She married Reinhold H. Braun on September 14, 1954. She was a homemaker, fantastic cook and baker.
Emma is survived by her children, Kathleen, of Bismarck, and Duane, of Bismarck, and three children of Duane’s deceased spouse Laurel Braun, Shana Casey of Mandan, Caitlin (Adam) Temple of Denver, CO, and Ryan Hagarty of Bismarck; four sisters, Esther (Gerald) Karch of Mandan, Catherine Fox of Santa Barbara CA, Theresa Clark of Clovis CA and Mary Graeme of Jacksonville FL; one brother, Clarence (Brenda) Duppong of Woodland CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Reinhold; parents Anton and Anna Duppong; sisters Helen Duppong, Eva Schriado and Sr. Yvonne Duppong ; brothers Carl, Edwin and Albert Duppong; also her daughter-in-law Laurel Braun.
