HEUVELTON-Harold Wilson Ashworth, 74, Pope Mills Road, Heuvelton Rfd., died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday (June 19, 1975) at his home. He had had a heart condition for the past several months. Private memorial services will be held at a later date following cremation. The Fox Funeral Home of Heuvelton was in charge of local arrangements. If friends so desire, contributions may be made to CARE, Inc. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Laura Ashworth; one daugter [sic], Helen Ashworth, at home; one son, Paul of Alabama; one brother Fred of Heuvelton; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one niece and several nephews. Mr. Ashworth was born in Barnard, Vt., Nov. 24, 1900, son of George and Helen Chase Ashworth. He married Laura Van Valkenburg of Gouverneur, Aug. 31, 1926 with the Rev. Roberts, free Methodist pastor of DePeyster, officiating. He operated a farm on the Pope Mills Road for many years and was a carpenter for several years when he lived in Hawaii.
