Swedish matriarch. She was Mrs. Anders Jansson and subsequently Mrs. Jonas Jonsson (Swedish women usually did not use the last names of their husbands until 1901). She had four sons and two daughters in her first marriage. She was twice widowed, the first time when Jansson and his horse and carriage were killed going through the ice on heir nearest lake. She was then 40 years old and their youngest children were still small. She married her second husband when she was past child-bearing. Her name was alternately spelled Kristina Karin Persdotter.
