Mrs. Klement was born in Alflen, Rhineland, Germany October 16, 1870, and Mr. Klement was born December 16, 1868 in Eilau, Austria. They moved to this country and to Taylor county, he in 1882 and she in 1892, and were wedded in 1895 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford. The attendants at their marriage 50 years ago, Elizabeth Henrichs, now Mrs. Henry Merters, and John Henrichs were both present at the celebration Sunday, as were four of their five children. The children are: John Klement, Milwaukee; Joseph Klement, Duluth; Marie, Mrs. Wm. Fuchs; and Elizabeth, Mrs. G. P. Kalmon, of Medford; and Conrad Klement, in the service stationed in the Philippines, the one child not present. Fourteen of their 17 grandchildren and one great grandson also were present. Mr. Klement's only sister, Mrs. Mary Graf of Tacoma, Wash., was unable to come for the celebration.

The table for the dinner was decorated with a gold crepe paper tablecloth and gold leaves and candles trimmed the tiered wedding cake. "I Love You Truly" and other appropriate pieces were sung by grandchildren accompanied by Miss Marilyn Kalmon at the piano.
