Relatives and friends of Mrs. Lottie Knauss, 63, are deeply saddened to learn of her passing at 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening in the home of her niece, Mrs. Robert Lecky at Elgin. Mrs. Knauss had been ill for several months.
Lottie Story, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Story, pioneer settlers of DeKalb county, was born August 20, 1871, on the Story homestead northeast of Sycamore. She was united in marriage to F. J. Knauss of Marengo.
Those who mourn the passing of Mrs. Knauss are one sister, Mrs. Alma Brown of Elgin; one brother, Amos Story, living northeast of Sycamore; and one half-brother, Kendall Hunt of Sycamore, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Kebil Funeral Home. Rev. H. S. Roblee will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood.
