He was born in Manitowoc county July 29, 1870, and attended rural school. He was married to Miss Anna Rabe September 29, 1894, in this city. He was employed as scale inspector by the Chicago and North Western railroad for many years until 1916 when the family moved on a farm near Crivitz, Wis., returning to Sheboygan four years ago.
Survivors are his wife and seven children, William of this city, John of Highland Park, Ill., Mrs. Cornelius (Martha) Saaman of this city, Arthur of Underbill, Wis., Walter of Plymouth, Mrs. Ervin (Elsie) Reinke of this city, and Fred of Green Bay. Twenty grandchildren and six great
grandchildren also survive as does one sister, Mrs. Ferdinand Krencine of Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at the Ramm Funeral home. The Rev. Edward W. Albertine of St. Paul's Lutheran church, Sheboygan Falls, will officiate, and burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery of this city.
