Dora Lucille Minthorn
Dora Lucllie Bartlett, oldest daughter of Herbert and Rachel Bartlett, was born December 3, 1896, near Lamoni, Iowa, and departed this life at the Iowa Methodist Hospital at Des Moines, February 6, 1944. At the time of her passing, she was 47 years, 2 months, and 3 days of age. She spent her entire life, until her marriage, on a farm east of Lamoni.

She was preceded in death by two brothers who died In infancy, and her mother who passed away 5 years ago.

On October 12, 1929, the deceased was united in marriage to Maynard Minthorn of Kellerton, Iowa, where she spent the remaining years of her life.

She leaves to mourn her early departure her devoted husband, father, two brothers, George of Lamoni, Clarence of Portland, Ore., and one sister, Mrs. Florence Hoffman of Lamoni, eight nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

During her early womanhood, she became a member of the Rebecca Lodge at Davis City and later became financial secretary of the Lodge in Kellerton, which office she held at the time of her passing.

She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Elston, Iowa, and an active member of the Methodist Ladies' Aid of Kellerton.

Funeral services were held from the Kellerton Methodist church Thursday afternoon in charge of Arthur Lane assisted by the Rev. John Alexander. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery.
