SOUTHINGTON - Shirley (Green) Pearson of Southington, wife of Clifford H. Pearson for 65 years, departed this life Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at Bristol Hospital after a short illness. She was born Dec. 25, 1924 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late William and Marie (Tedesco) Green, and lived in Southington after retiring with her husband. Shirley was an avid homemaker and enjoyed reading, crocheting and keeping up with daily events via her computer. She always left the door open for her friends and family and loved to entertain at the kitchen table. Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Jack Favale, Christine and Bruce Post, Laurie and Richard Rinaldi and Amy and William Barry; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald and Deborah Pearson and Clifford W. Pearson; two brothers, Frederick and Daniel Green; a sister, Beryl Tuckey; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. As Shirley enters into the Kingdom of God, she will be remembered and missed not only by her family, but by all who knew her. The funeral will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Trinity Church, 173 Summer St., Bristol, with the Rev. Donald Helmandollar, rector, officiating. Burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours. DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., is in charge of arrangements.
