She is survived by her loving and faithful husband of almost 75 years, C.C. Benson; a son Carroll and his wife; a granddaughter and her husband, a grandson; step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Ada was raised in the IOOF Orphanage in Corsicana, Texas. After briefly attending college, Ada began working in Wichita Falls where she met and married the love of her life, C.C. Ada retired from Dallas County Tax Office in 1977.
Ada and C.C. traveled the world after their retirement and enjoyed life after very humble beginnings. She has many friends and was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church in Dallas.
A celebration of Ada 's life will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home.
